What...​

I'm a nutritionist who is on a mission to help men & women that are lost in a continual cycle of "yo-yo" dieting, have created bad eating habits or have a negative relationship towards food.
 
My mission:
"To help anyone who wants to lose weight, body fat, gain muscle or just feel stronger & healthier.
By doing this the right way for your body - not based on the BS diet culture or countless quick fix schemes that are everywhere."

Why..

For a number of years I competed in bikini shows, adhering to its extreme diet culture in order to be lean for the stage - which resulted in a negative relationship towards food and body dysmorphia. Despite winning a number of competitions I ended up being sucked into the fitness world's ideal of the "perfect body". 

 

Not only was I mentally and physically unwell, I also suffered physiologically - as I lost my menstrual cycle. Nobody warned me about the implications of extreme dieting and what it could potentially do to my body and in all honesty it never occurred to me that restriction would be that harmful to my body.... that was naive on my part.

 

But that was 6 years ago and now after learning the ins and outs of nutrition and listening to my body I am a (little) older and wiser! Now that I'm healthy and do not follow any rules about what I eat or when and do not follow any restrictive diet.

 

I am passionate about helping and teaching others; so that they can understand and sift through the BS messages and unrealistic body images that are posted on social and throughout the media every day.

How..

You only get 1 body and it's a wonderful and complex machine that works 24/7, 365 days a year to keep us alive and moving.

 

There is no magic pill nor 1 size that fits all.
 

There are no good or bad foods - just food.
 

You can still enjoy & eat the foods you love - everything in moderation

Food is there to be enjoyed!

No 2 bodies are the same. Each and everyone of us is unique. We need to learn to listen to our own bodies in order to take care of it... 

​

This is why my coaching programmes are tailored to you, your goals, lifestyle & capability. I do not specialise or advocate specific diets such as the Atkins, Keto or Dukhan diet or “no carbs before marbs”. I use evidence-based insights to guide you towards your goals - as well as giving you knowledge & tools to take forward for life.

Change takes time and you and your body are in a long-term relationship, so you have to take time and patience to listen, understand and reshape to its wants and needs.
